What a wonderful room to create in - beautiful surroundings. Excellent teaching ideas by Kathy Hooper. "Spirit Awakening" - have the need to do more "art". Felt I had "real experiences that will work for me."

Nice "control" over the class. We're all art teachers and can be the worst students. It's tough to get a class of teachers to pay attention and settle down. I'd love to come here for every personal development day instead of other district presentations. The activities were great and I can see me using them in my classroom. I would like to have more of these classes offered to all teachers in the district who teach art.

You guys run a fabulous and inspiring studio. What a nice atmosphere this place has! (Its energy is real good.) I just expected to come and act out some stewing "inspiration". It's been too long. I had a ball. It has been a privilege working /spending a day with the two of you. Thank you.

Actually, it surpassed my expectations. Not only did we learn about lots of great ideas to take back to school, we also got to experiment with everything (making it more meaningful, fun, and memorable). Great day.. great experience. You are wonderful. Great location. Well organized, The day zoomed by!

Creativity inspires us!

As an educator or an administrator who cares about the health and well being of your staff, we would like to approach you with the idea of art as a means of giving the people who work with you a chance to explore the child and the artist within them! In doing so they will start to “see” differently which can lead to more open and innovative ways of thinking and being, with their work, and with their colleagues. Making art is also a great stress reliever. It’s a lot of fun.

Hooper Studios has been a place of work for sculptor John Hooper (1926-2006) and painter Kathy Hooper for many years. Set in lovely gardens with forty acres of land around it, looking over the beautiful Kennebecasis River, we believe it is an inspiring place to work.

Over the last five years Kathy and daughter Sue, graphic artist and painter/teacher, have been developing workshops and classes to teach art and craft in a large well-equipped studio. Our focus has always been on the process of art making, not so much the end product, we approach each person as the individual they are, and help them to realize their own potential in a non-judgmental, creative atmosphere.

We can accommodate up to 18 participants depending on the workshop and can tailor a workshop to fit your schedule.  We are also available to go off site for workshops in schools or businesses.
