A half day of exciting creativity with a result which is distinctive and all yours! Have you ever admired a tile you have seen identifying someone?s house, either the number or the name of it? Often brightly glazed and decorated, they give a house a really interesting 'presence'! In Mexico, where I spend time every year, these tiles are fun to look out for while walking, they identify but also say something about the family living there. First you will make a large tile in clay and then decorate it with whatever design you come up with, either different types of coloured glazes, or with relief carving in the surface of the clay. They will need to dry and then be fired and 'voila! A distinctive and beautiful original piece of art for your house. It deserves it! Materials extra

This may sound intimidating but it won't be. As an artist who has worked long hours on my own in my studio, I know the value of another person, who doesn't even have to be an artist, coming in and giving me insights into my work.
